Its gonna be hectic I got to tell you that, you're going to want to think about all the things that will happen and MIGHT happen. On June 25th I had a 14hr travel flight, and I wasn't feeling all that well in the first place, I couldn't think straight. so I decided to take a breather and get out my note book to write down some TO DO lists. And that is what I'm going to be sharing with you people today.
pro tip:
My goal was to have all my diabetic supplies in one place, but when thought trough, I felt that it was best to spread out my supplies not only to save space, but to be prepared for any lost or late luggage, if one luggage had all my supplies, and that specific luggage gets lost or arrives a little later that all the other luggage's, me and my diabetes would be stranded in the airport.
this is my insulin pump, traveling with it requires a permit from your doctor. and since I was traveling for (# days) I needed to pack that many sets, that many revivors, tat many insulin, and batteries. it was a lot to do for a teen diabetic.
And this is my sensor, it connects to the insulin pump, needs a charger, that many sets and batteries
Not only did I pack these but I had to pack my dry nasal spray to treat very low blood sugar in case I needed it. Having extra insulin PEN SHOTS are necessary incase the pump wont work, it happens to me 50% of the time. Patches are going to save your sensors LIFE, they help them stay in place and don't move, I recommend these different kinds of patches that I got off of amazon, https://www.amazon.com/s?k=diabetic+patches&crid=156APKTDRSDA0&sprefix=diabetic+patches%2Caps%2C136&ref=nb_sb_noss_1
real handy
make sure to have all your emergency items, that is including chocolates and sugary juices, i have this quote next to my bed that says.
"A juice box saved my life" And I couldn't agree more, Its crazy to think that only any type of sugary food can practically save your life
in minutes.
